Italy is not as straightforward a country for a traveler as it might seem at first glance. Piedmont is no exception. We, inquisitive and curious foreigners who have settled here, sometimes know more about local wineries, restaurants, and attractions than the locals themselves.
Italians are a wonderful, hardworking, and hospitable people, but they often stick to established routes and traditions. Fortunately, we have been able to earn the trust of our neighbors and friends - winemakers, restaurateurs, and even truffle hunters. We are ready to share with you the hidden treasures of this remarkable land, which you won't find in tourist brochures. You will have a unique experience that will stay with you in your memory forever!
Our friend, the winemaker Antonello, introduced us to his brother-in-law, Luca, "un vero trifolau" who invited us to a non-touristy truffle hunting expedition.
It was an incredible experience - witnessing the interaction between the hunter and his dog was a rare sensory delight.
During our outing, we found three truffles, with the largest one being a white Piedmont truffle weighing around 250 grams. At the time, it was worth approximately 500 -600 euros! It was an excellent outcome and an unforgettable experience.
If you'd like to repeat this experience, we will eagerly assist you!

And here is Antonello himself! He and his brother Riccardo represent a new generation of winemakers in Piedmont!
Their story is quite intriguing and exemplifies a significant trend - both of them, one a successful designer and the other a professional typographer, returned to their roots several years ago. They came back from the big cities to help their father revitalize and expand the family winery.
Now, everything here depends on them - hardworking and genuinely great guys. The winery is incredibly successful.
We are delighted to visit it and taste, taste, taste!
In this video, we are showcasing the new Nebbiolo harvest. The wine is excellent!
The Fratelli Novara - Novara Brothers' winery - is a true hidden gem, and there are many such treasures here.
We would be happy to introduce you to them and taste the masterpieces of Piedmont winemaking together!
One of our friends and neighbors - Chef Davide, who made it into Italy's list of top pizza chefs this year, recommended us to come here to Chef Bruno's restaurant. His restaurant is one of the "hidden gems" and non-touristy attractions of Alba. Truffles here are a worthy and harmonious addition to the dishes, but not the main star. That role belongs to Chef himself, his perfect Piedmontese cuisine, and the delightful service. The noble tuber accentuates the Chef's talent but doesn't overshadow it. "Qui comando io - I'm in charge here," gently but firmly says Chef Bruno to his guests, and, courteously and confidently, guides you towards discovering the simple yet magnificent cuisine of Piedmont. Chef Davide - thank you for the recommendation! Chef Bruno - thank you for your talent!
We would be really happy if our guests will also visit this and other "secret spots" in Langhe and Roero, following our advice!
